據中國人壽介紹，公司從2007年1月1日起執行中國財政部新頒佈的中國公認《企業會計準則》，該會計準則規定保險合同是指保險人與投保人約定保險權利義務關係，並承擔源於被保險人保險風險的協議。公司絕大多數保險產品都屬於保險合同，進而確認為保費收入。
China Life premium boost
China Life Insurance (2628) said premium income for the first seven months amounted to about 203 billion yuan (HK$231.15 billion), a rise of 53.9 percent year-on-year from 131.9 billion yuan. Premium income in July was some 20.9 billion yuan, surging 97.2 percent.
